Questions we get about the Clover lineup.

My Clover is locked to another processor. Can you still help?

In many cases, yes. Clover devices can be re-provisioned to a new processor as long as the hardware isn’t locked by the original reseller in a way that blocks reassignment. We’ll check your device’s status, pull your current statement, and tell you up front whether the savings justify the switch, including whether it makes more sense to keep your current hardware or redeploy new units.

Which Clover is right for a single-location restaurant?

The most common restaurant setup is one Station Duo at the host/POS counter, two Clover Flex 4 handhelds for tableside pay, and a printer in the kitchen (or a KDS for higher-volume operations). A café or QSR typically runs on a Mini 3 plus a Kiosk. We’ll map the exact configuration to your service flow before quoting.

Does Clover work offline if the internet goes out?

Yes. Clover devices accept payments in offline mode for a limited period; transactions queue and settle when the connection returns. Flex 4 units include 4G LTE as a fallback, which keeps handhelds working even when the Wi-Fi network is down.

What’s the monthly cost beyond the hardware?

Clover software plans start around $15–$85/mo per device depending on industry (Register vs. Register Lite vs. Counter Service Restaurant vs. Table Service Restaurant).
